Which regulatory framework will foster job creation in the digital age?

New technologies will cause massive changes in the demand for labour forces, and will change working conditions considerably. The sharing economy (Uber, crowd-work, etc.) transforms the entire concept of having a job and/or being employed. All the while, politicians are lagging behind and are failing to adequately update regulatory and legal frameworks. What are adequate liberal regulatory responses so as to maximize positive effects of digitalization and minimize negative ones. How can politicians make sure workers’ rights are protected, without stifling job creation and sector growth?
